Bennett Graphics was founded in 1968 as Bennett Brother’s Printing.
“It was a family affair and every family member has worked for the company at one time or another,” said David Bennett, the company’s owner and president, who has held every position at one time or another including delivery driver.
“From the start, the focus has been on good work and always doing the right thing,” Bennett said. “As a result, the company has always enjoyed a reputation for honesty and quality. If there is a question, we take the client side.”
The company has insisted on being a consistent first mover. Investments were made in digital printing when the technology was in its infancy.
Today, Bennett Graphics, which uses offset, digital, UV inkjet and latex printing processes, is recognized internationally as an industry leader and trendsetter. The company has managed to win an award every third business day for the last 17 years.
“Bennett Graphics specializes in elegant solutions regardless of the industry being served,” Bennett said. “Customers make the best use of our resources when they come to us with an end to end need that involves printed communications. An example might be supporting retail locations with signage and collateral or automotive with service notifications and showroom decorations.”
The Bennett Graphics client portfolio includes but is not limited to automotive, gaming, hospitality, fashion, nonprofit, faith-based, consumer packaged goods, spirits, beverage, education, professional sports teams, home improvement and flooring, he added.
What differentiates Bennett Graphics from competitors is “the way we see our role and how we think about printing,” Bennett said.
“Bennett Graphics is a very collaborative and creative company,” he continued. “Our days are spent producing work but each day also includes trying new things. That is to say, we never say no without trying first.
“When a company sees itself as part of the creative process, experimenting is going to result,” Bennett added. “So is a more intimate partnership with clients. Conversations frequently include statements like, ‘We don’t know how that might look. Let’s test it and see.’
“These tests are performed with no strings attached. They inform client designers and make us better partners. In the process, we push technology limits and consistently share new solutions with the marketplace. One client said it this way, ‘it isn’t your equipment that makes you different. It’s your mindset. It’s how you help your clients perform better,’”
Bennett observed.
From an ink perspective, the company expects a good product on time, consistently prepared, according to Bennett; however, “that is the absolute minimum.
“We also expect flexibility and resourcefulness. A client might walk in with a piece of carpet or countertop material they want matched with ink. We expect our source to embrace this challenge just like we do,” he continued. “We also want – require actually – innovation.
“We want a supplier to be a partner that is consistently showing us new possibilities with their medium. Everything matters: Color, texture, smells, coverage, life, fade are all critical factors…not to mention service,” Bennett concluded.
