The Society for Imaging Science and Technology (IS&T) announced the upcoming 27th International Conference on Digital Printing Technologies (NIP27) and Digital Fabrication 2011 event Oct 2-6, 2011 at the Hilton Minneapolis. Researchers from industry and academia will have an opportunity to learn about the latest scientific and technical advances in imaging systems, including electronic paper and paper-like displays, and novel digital printing systems and materials. Additionally, a special focus on design for environmental sustainability is featured.
Attendees will discuss recent advances, including web and cloud printing, digital packaging, high speed inkjet, textile and fabric printing, and security and forensic printing. Digital Fabrication explores techniques such as 3D printing, which are being used to develop printed sensors, photovoltaic cells, lighting devices, biomaterials, electronic devices and future new applications.
