Brent Moncrief, VP marketing and brand management, FUJIFILM North America Corporation, Graphic Systems Division, reported that 2016 was another strong year for FUJIFILM, across all of its platforms.
“FUJIFILM had a solid year in both our graphics and ink business segments, from both a ‘traditional’ (analog) and digital print solutions perspective,” Moncrief noted.
“As we continue to introduce inkjet imaging technology into new market segments, we are proud of the market response to our integrated hardware, individual components, software and best in class inks,” he added. “This wide portfolio enable us to engage with printers and convertors spanning several market segments, including commercial, sign and display, label and packaging and industrial.”
Moncrief said that FUJIFILM is looking into new opportunities. “We are constantly evaluating our investments in market segments and geographies, and adjusting them as we forecast new growth opportunities,” he said.
Moncrief said that FUJIFILM is working with its customers on meeting regulatory issues.
Regulatory oversight is a necessary and valuable role, and one which we fully support,” said Moncrief said. “The challenge, of course, is that different organizations bring different perspectives and guidelines, which must be followed, and the administrative burden of compliance can be daunting.”
Because of its portfolio of digital and conventional inks, FUJIFILM has strong expectations for 2017.
“While there are clearly some segments we serve which are mature and even declining, we believe our focus on diversifying both our traditional and digital inks and coatings has us well positioned for success in 2017 and beyond,” Moncrief concluded.
