The company manufactures a strong portfolio of screen, pad, UV dry offset, flexo and gravure printing inks that are delivered to customers in more than 70 countries worldwide via a tight network of distributors led exclusively by expert sales partners in the respective country. RUCO Druckfarben reports that the company’s export share is more than 58%.
RUCO Druckfarben reported a solid year in 2016, and the company is looking forward to an excellent 2017, driven by its new LED and environmentally-friendly inks.
At InPrint 2017, RUCO launched 937LED and 955LED-LM, two new LED screenprinting ink series. A two-component ink series, 937LED is formulated for decorating glass, ceramics and metal.
937LED can be cured with either LED or standard UV lamps. These inks offer excellent adhesion and very good resistance to chemicals, water and abrasion, and RUCO reports superb results in terms of dishwasher and frost resistance. 937LED inks come in 11 basic color shades, as well as transparent white, high-opacity white and black formulations and special effect inks.
The 955LED-LM low migration, silicone-free LED curable ink series is designed for printing on plastic containers, most notably tubes made of polyethylene. 955LED-LM meets the stringent requirements of the Swiss Ordinance SR 817.023.21, EuPIA Suitability List of Photoinitiators and the Nestlé Guidance Note on Packaging Inks. This allows 955LED-LM inks to be printed on the outside of plastic packaging for food and cosmetics.
RUCO also introduced new cyclohexanone- and aromatic solvent-free pad printing inks at InPrint 2017.
T35, a one-component ink, is designed for toy decoration. Pad printing inks of the phthalate- and chlorine-free T35 series were developed for the highly sensitive field of toy decoration, and meet all the demands specified in relevant industrial standards, as well as in the EuPIA Exclusion Policy, REACH regulation (SVHC), the Swiss Ordinance (SR 817.023.21), Canadian Hazardous Products Act (R.S., c.H-3, s.1.) and the current European safety standard EN 71-3.
Suitable for high-speed rotary pad printing, T120 inks are ideal for bottle caps, as well as decoration of home appliances, electrical devices and advertising materials. The T200 ink series are one- and two-component inks, and are designed for universal use on a wide variety of plastic materials.
