Rohm and Haas Company has announced a new graphic arts technical team to lead the company’s research and development and technical service activities in graphic arts.
James T. Brown has been named research and development manager for graphic arts. He has been with the company more than 32 years and has been both a team leader and project leader in Rohm and Haas’ paper business and a project leader in the graphic arts business, where he led the development of the Lucidene 4000 Plus series of neutral pH polymers. Mr. Brown is a recipient of the Otto Haas Award for Scientific Achievement, and was elected a research fellow in 1996 and principal scientist in 1999.
George C. Beetz has been named graphic arts technical service manager. Mr. Beetz joined Rohm and Haas in January 2002 after more than 23 years of graphic arts experience. Mr. Beetz developed highly effective methods for testing polymers in inks and has extensive experience in polymer synthesis.
