KYOCERA NIXKA Inkjet Systems (KNIS) launches its first product, the GENIX 1200 smart inkjet print engine.
This new print engine is easy to integrate, use, and maintain, offering high stability consistent print outputs. The GENIX 1200 come equipped with an automatic cleaning station (capping/wiping/purging) that does not require intervention from the operator.
The GENIX 1200 reaches printing speeds of up to 200m/mm, addressing a large range of applications and volume printing. It also prints intensively, up to 24/7, and has high up-time availability and reliability. With lasts generation ink recirculation printheads and an embedded system GENIX 1200 precisely monitors ink temperature and viscosity.
GENIX 1200 is environmentally friendly, using water-based inks (dye, pigments, or hybrids) that are compatible with a large range of substrates such as recycled, uncoated, offset coated paper, tissue, films, cartons and more. It also provides controlled ink and energy consumptions, shared maintenance, and optimized service operations to reduce TCO.
KNIS president Paul Morgavi said, “GENIX 1200 will help our customers to create value with fixed or variable data printing, short runs, personalization or versioning, in commercial printing, packaging and labelling, photo industry, graphic arts, direct mailing, and many other industrial applications. It is initially a 4-color engine, which can be adapted in single, dual or triple colors, depending on the expectation, and can also be field upgraded when there is a need for more colors.”
