In celebration of World Environment Day Epson announces MakeTheSwitch global campaign, encouraging everyone of reduce energy consumption. Aware of their impact and role in the health of the global environment, Epson supports the MakeTheSwitch movement to promote sustainability and reduce negative impacts on the environment.
Epson America demonstrates this commitment in their new headquarters located in Los Alamitos, California. The company acquired and redesigned a two-building complex with multiple environment friendly features. Solar panels line the roof providing 100 percent of the company’s energy needs. Epson also equipped the buildings with large window and reduced lighting fixtures with motion sensors to preserve energy. The company has also provided employees electric charging stations and designed the campus with draught tolerant landscaping in awareness of the extensive water usage conversation.
“The MakeTheSwitch global movement empowers people to make choices promoting sustainability and Epson is not only making that commitment as individuals but also as a company,” said Epson’s chief legal and sustainability officer Kendra Jones.
The MakeTheSwitch campaign follows Epson’s philosophy of developing compact, efficient, and precise technologies. Since the beginning, the company has been proving outstanding solutions and products with minimalized wase, low energy consumption, small footprints, and high reliability.
Furthermore, Epson’s 2050 Environmental Vision outlines a commitment to supporting global efforts to achieve sustainability. By 2050 Epson plans to carbon-negative and non-renewal underground resource free.
