For the 11th consecutive year, BASF has been named one of the Top 50 Companies for Diversity by DiversityInc, ranking number 23 on the list despite a 23 percent year-over-year increase in companies applying for the benchmark distinction. BASF was also recognized this year as a Top Company for Sponsorship, a Top Company for Mentoring, and a Top Company for Employee Resource Groups.
"Diversity, equity, and inclusion are human values, that cross borders and cultures, and they are essential to our success as a company operating in one of the most dynamic and diverse business markets here in North America," said Michael Heinz, chairman and CEO, BASF Corporation, and member of the Board of Executive Directors, BASF SE. "Our goal is to create a working environment in which everyone feels connected, respected, and heard, and where they can be themselves."
Each year, DiversityInc recognizes the top companies for diversity, equity, and inclusion management, singling out those with strategies that focus on attracting, developing, and retaining great talent from all backgrounds, and leveraging the power of different perspectives to drive business growth.
“These rankings are based on employer-submitted data about their organizational policies, practices, and procedures, not on employee sentiment or scraped from sources that cannot be validated,” said Carolynn Johnson, CEO of DiversityInc. “With a required C-suite attestation that all data submitted is valid, these rankings also represent evidence-based, superior human capital outcomes, only achieved by data transparency and an unwavering commitment to workplace fairness for everyone.”
