Mark Geeves, Color-Logic director of sales and marketing, will speak at the upcoming IMI Inkjet Age of Materials Conference 2018, at the Embassy Suites Chicago--Lombard Oak Brook, Sept. 5-6, 2018. Geeves’ talk is titled “All Print Begins with Design--Why Should You Care?” and will deal with advances in metallic printing for inkjet and other processes. At the meeting, Geeves will present case studies showing how advancements in ink and printing technology enable brands to get to market faster while increasing the shelf presence of products at retail.
Geeves is the co-founder of Color-Logic and Touch7, two technologies that have materially advanced the use of metallics and expanded color gamut systems in printing today. With more than 30 years of experience in the measurement and control of color through his work at X-Rite, Color Savvy, GretagMacbeth, and Ciba, Geeves has extensive experience bringing portable and embedded instrumentation and automated measurement devices into the graphic arts, color, and appearance marketplaces. He has served on international committees to advance the use of color measurement in printing and publishing applications. As president of BestColor in the Americas, he was involved in making inkjet proofing the standard for the graphic arts marketplace.
