Myron Petruch, president of Sun Chemical Performance Pigments, has been selected as a recipient of the 2014 Industry Achievement Award from the American Coatings Association (ACA).
Presented bi-annually, the award honors an individual or group who has demonstrated exceptional achievement through dedication and support of a particular ACA project that has successfully come to fruition.
Petruch was selected for the award because of his leadership and participation with the PaintPAC Steering Committee, an organization which was instrumental in planning its successful ACA Silent Auction event. He also played a critical role in collaborating on the ACA’s advocacy strategy, which according to the ACA “yielded great achievements.”
“Myron has been a tremendous leader of our global Performance Pigments division for nearly six years,” said Rudi Lenz, CEO, Sun Chemical. “He brings outstanding business acumen, great vision, a strong focus on client relationships, and dedication to both Sun Chemical and the industry as a whole. I can’t think of anyone more deserving for an Industry Achievement Award.”
Petruch was honored during the ACA’s reception and dinner on April 7, 2014 at the Marriott Marquis in Atlanta. He holds a master’s degree in business administration specializing in finance and international business from Seton Hall University, and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology.
