Troy Corporation announced that its Newark, NJ manufacturing facility has achieved ISO 14001 certification. According to the company, the awarding of this certification is a recognition of its environmentally conscious manufacturing practices.
ISO 14001 standards apply to the entire Newark manufacturing process, requiring that every phase of production is environmentally sound. This system of environmental management is in the process of being applied to other sites where Troy products are produced, according to the company.
The company also announced that on Thursday, Oct. 31 at ICE 2002 in New Orleans, Troy and the Federation of Societies for Coatings Technology will be hosting the Troy 5K Run/Walk. The Run/Walk, which benefits the Coatings Industry Education Foundation, will take place at 7 a.m. at Mississippi River Heritage Park through the New Orleans Garden district.
A $5 registration fee is required with the return of the registration form, which can be found on Troy’s web site, www.troycorp.com, or by telephoning Troy directly at (973) 443-4200 ext. 2559. Every entrant will receive a commemorative tee shirt.
