Dar-Tech, Inc., a distributor of pigments, functional additives, specialty additives, resins and lab instrumentation, is celebrating 50 years in business. Founded in 1951 as The Steven F. Dimlich Co., Dar-Tech serves the ink, coatings, paint, plastics, rubber and ceramics industries from its offices in Cleveland.
The name was changed to Dar-Tech in 1977 under the leadership of Walt Walburn, now president, and Jim Benduhn, now vice president, both of whom joined the company from Sherwin Williams.
The company now has sales offices in Cleveland, Cincinnati, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Louisville and Detroit. Dar-Tech currently distributes products to customers in Ohio, Michigan, western New York, western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana and sections of North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
